The executive of PSAC Local 40004 stands in solidarity with their Muslim members, and other members, who were affected by the recent racist cyber-attacks against them. A ceremony held over Zoom held on the fourth anniversary of the Québec mosque shooting, was hacked with racist slurs and imagery.

We condemn all forms of racism, Islamophobia, Xenophobia, hate speech, and violence against members of our community and beyond. We stand in solidarity with those who experienced these atrocious attacks. It is our duty to educate ourselves and each other on issues of race, class, gender, sexuality, and ableism, and to call out and condemn those who seek to hurt others based on these issues.
